STOCKTON-SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY HOURS FOR THE WINTER HOLIDAYS
(Stockton, CA) - Stockton-San Joaquin County Public Library facilities have an adjusted schedule for the end of December 2011 and the beginning of January 2012.
The four branches within the city of Stockton (Cesar Chavez Central Library, Angelou, Troke, and Weston Ranch libraries), along with branches in Escalon, Lathrop, Linden, Thornton, will be closed, Wednesday, December 21, 2011 through Monday, January 2, 2012, for a combination of furlough days, Christmas Holiday, New Year’s Holiday, and closed days.
The Stockton-San Joaquin County Public Library branches located in Manteca, Mountain House, Ripon, and Tracy will be closed, Wednesday, December 21, 2011 through Monday, December 26, 2011. These branches will be open, Tuesday, December 27 through Friday, December 30, 2011, 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. In observance of the New Year’s holiday, these branches will be closed, December 31, 2011 through Monday, January 2, 2012.
All library branches of the Stockton-San Joaquin County Public Library will resume regular business hours beginning Tuesday, January 3, 2012. Regular business hours are posted on the Stockton-San Joaquin County Public Library web site, along with a schedule of holidays, furlough days and other library closed days. When library branches are closed, many library services and resources are available online. The newly implemented OverDrive service is available for customers to download audio books and eBooks for personal digital devices and computers, BookFlix is available for children reading and learning about fiction and non-fiction subjects, and the Learning Express database is available for children and adults to build knowledge on a wide variety of topics.
Library due dates have been adjusted so materials will not be due during library closures. Bookdrops will be locked during closed days.
