STOCKTON-SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY  PUBLIC LIBRARY WINTER HOLIDAY HOURS

Stockton-San Joaquin County Public Library facilities will be closed for several days in December for the Christmas and New Year holidays.  In addition to the holiday closures, the library will also observe closed days and non-paid furlough days that have been implemented to help address significant budget challenges faced by the City of Stockton.

Customers are encouraged to visit the Library website (www.stockton.lib.ca.us) for specific days and hours of operation for each of the 13 library branches.  The additional days every branch Library will be closed are as follows:

December 23 – January 3, 2010 – All Branch Libraries throughout the Stockton-San Joaquin County Library system will be closed for a combination of Holiday, Closed days, and non-paid Furlough days.  Each branch will reopen at their next scheduled open day according to their regular business hours which can be found at www.stockton.lib.ca.us or by inquiring in person at the branch location.

The Library has adjusted material due dates to exclude any holiday, furlough or closed days as return dates.  The book drops for each branch will also be closed.  Each branch has posted signs on their bookdrops notifying customers of specific closed dates and times.

As always, the Library remains open online at www.stockton.lib.ca.us.  Material checkout times will be adjusted so material does not come due during a closed day.  Please review your receipt for due dates to ensure late fines are not accrued.
