Homework Center Grants Available Now to Stockton Organizations

stack of notebooksThe City of Stockton announces a Notice of Availability of Funds to support Homework Centers for fiscal year 2008-2009. Subject to approval of the City of Stockton's budget, a total of up to $150,000 may be available to agencies that provide homework assistance and tutoring to elementary and middle-school aged children in the after school hours. This is a competitive process. Agencies must collaborate with a local school and may request a maximum of $10,000 in support.

Complete applications are due Friday, June 20, 2008 by 5:00 p.m. Pre-application workshops will be held on Thursday, June 5 from 3-5 p.m. at the Cesar Chavez Central Library. Time may be used to review individual applications. For more information, or to receive an application, please contact
