Live at the Library...Jazz on the Landing: A Celebration of Black Music Month June 2005
In honor of the African American influence on Jazz, The Gifts of Blackness Coalition with Ola's Exotic Coffees and Teas present a series of live concerts by local artists who will pay tribute to African American jazz legends each Friday during the month of June. In addition, local author Alicia Huggs will discuss her new book on jazz legends from Eubie Blake to the present. Mrs. Huggs, a longtime resident of San Joaquin County, is the niece of jazz legend composer/pianist/bassist Charles Mingus.
Each performance is from 5:00 P.M. from 6:00 P.M. The line up is as follows:

Performance by Ben Teczon Trio with vocalist "Carla". Ben is a break off from local group Retro Groove. The musical trio consists of saxophone, electric guitar and drums.
