The variety of titles in InfoTrac Onefile is excellent. Whether the need is for specialized journals for professionals or hobbyists or lighter reading, InfoTrac Onefile is likely to have full-text to match the need. These magazines, for example, are included:
- Accounting Horizons
- Adhesives & Sealants Industry

To check to see whether a magazine is in InfoTrac Onefile, search the title using advanced search, search type as publication title search (pu). Another way, from the opening search screen is to limit a search to certain magazines, by selecting more search options and then browsing a list of titles to select.
The Library provides other ways to search large collections of magazines online. Selections of titles for special purposes have been broken out.
- Professional Collection - for educators and administrators.
- Junior Edition - for middle school and junior high school students. Magazine titles of high-interest to younger readers, like Sports Illustrated for Kids, and articles from age-appropriate encyclopedias are mixed with news magazines like Time.
- Kids' InfoBits - for elementary school students, with menus to choose topics (or search options). Lots of graphics from magazines or age-appropriate encyclopedias, including colorful country flags and pictures of animals.
The Library also has magazine subscriptions for paper copies of all magazines listed in the sidebar. The Library has many more magazines than this. More complete listings of magazines in the Library are in the library catalog. Search by magazine title, using periodical title as the search type (drop-down menu). Information about which library branches have which magazine is available in the catalog.
Current Issues
The Library displays the current issue of magazines in the magazine reading area. If the current issue is unavailable, consider checking InfoTrac Onefile.
Back Issues of Subscriptions
Older issues may be found on shelves below the displayed issue. These may be checked out of the Library.
In some cases older issues are in storage. Please ask for assistance if you are looking for older issues. The Chavez Central Library has the deepest backfile of magazines. Issues may be requested at the first floor storage desk.
One of the strengths of InfoTrac Onefile is that back issues can be searched and articles can be easily retrieved, for those magazines that are available as full text.
Magazines on the Web
Many magazine publishers offer online versions of their magazines. The American Journalism Review provides a portal to many of these online magazines [AJR Newslink].
Some magazines only exist in online versions. Neither of the two magazines below are available in InfoTrac Onefile. They are only available online from the source.
Others exist as a combination of online and paper copy, but offer the full version online for free.
