Grandmothers Who Help: African American History from Antiquity to the Present Times

Come see a clear explanation of African-American History, in words and pictures, Thursday, March 10. Grandmothers Who Help is an exhibit that showcases African American educators, author, inventors, scientists, artists, entertainers, and others through pictures and oral presentations.

An exhibit, opening at 2:00 PM, presents pictures, information, and a timeline of the African people.

A family program begins at 4:00 PM.

This presentation is sponsored by the Gifts of Blackness Coalition and the the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, administered by the California State Librarian.

Event will be held at the Fair Oaks Branch Library, 2370 E. Main St, Stockton, CA 95205.
