Last week Author Alicia Huggs discussed her new book on jazz legends from Eubie Blake to the present. Mrs. Huggs, a longtime resident of San Joaquin County, is the niece of jazz legend composer, pianist, and bassist, Charles Mingus.
This concert in one in a series in honor of the African American influence on Jazz and in celebration of Black Music Month. The Gifts of Blackness Coalition with Ola's Exotic Coffees and Teas are presenting a series of live concerts by local artists who will pay tribute to African American jazz legends each Friday during the month of June.
