- Library customers are cautioned that the Library is a public area, which
must be shared by Library users of all ages, backgrounds, and sensibilities. Individuals are asked to consider this and to respect others when accessing information and images.
- Library customers may not use the library’s wireless network to
transmit or receive child pornography; to display to a minor any matter
deemed "harmful," as defined in California Penal Code section 313; or
to display explicit, graphic, or obscene images that create a hostile
work environment for Library staff. (See the Library's policy on
Responsible Use of the Library and Its Facilities.)
- Library customers are expected to respect intellectual property rights
by making only authorized copies of copyrighted or licensed software or data residing on the Internet.
- Violation of the Library's Wireless Policy or abuse of networking
equipment may result in the denial of access to the wireless network in

- The Library provides and maintains this wireless network as a public
service. Patrons are responsible for the setup and configuration of their
own equipment. Library staff cannot provide technical assistance to
customers using the wireless network.

customer must log onto one of the Library’s public use computers.
- WARNING: The Library is not liable for the consequences of
wireless network use in any way, including the transmission of
computer viruses, loss of data or e-mail, or any harm resulting
from the use of an unsecured server.

comply with applicable federal and state law, and all policies governing
Library use, including: the (1) Library Policy on Internet Access; (2)
Responsible Use of the Library and Its Facilities - Implementation; (3)
